Side by side shotguns, known by most as the original “double barreled” shotgun remain a staple for many hunters and cowboy action shooters. Although they are often overshadowed by their over/under cousins, this classic configuration shares the same versatility by allowing the use of different loads or chokes in each barrel for specific circumstances. Although Side by side shotguns fell out of favor following WWII, thanks in part to Cowboy Action shooting, they are making a comeback. These iconic firearms are available in a variety of calibers and price ranges.
